Sunday’s game versus Cañadas proved to be a promising start for the year.
Although the final score read 7 to 5 in favor of Cañadas, there was no denial that the Tiburones did not hand over the win. Starting pitcher Victor Osuna pitched 7 innings allowing 7 runs with 5 of them earned, 13 hits, striking out 4 and walking 4. At the plate he was the best player going 3 for 3 with 2 RBI, a stolen base and a BB. Newcomer from Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Miguel Canizales came in clutch with a pinch hit 2 run double in the 6th inning to give the Tiburones a 5 to 2 lead at the time.
The Tiburones have shaped up from their first season and are committed to make this upcoming their best yet.
